Preserving Ireland's Seeds
True Harvest Seeds, Kilclief, Co Down – Native Seed Conservation Charity
Established in 2013, True Harvest Seeds aims to conserve ALL of Ireland’s native seed-bearing wild plants by the secure storage of their seeds. Part of the collections are kept in perpetuity and part are available for suitable local restoration projects.
This plant is in trouble along the coast between Strangford and Glassdrumman. We believe there’s only this one left. We would like to breed it back but to avoid a genetic bottleneck we need more individuals. If you see it, please let us know. We can then start proceedings to get permission from the department to work with it. Thanks!
