Open Day Event

April 29, 2017

Open Day Event:  FRIDAY 2nd JUNE 2017 11am to 5pm.

36 Ardglass Road,

Kilclief,

Downpatrick,

BT30 7NS

We are delighted to be hosting an Open Day at our new production unit here in Kilclief to provide an opportunity to show what we’re doing and have a bit of chat.

On your visit you can learn about the seed conservation taking place in Co Down as part of the All Ireland Seed Collection Project and how you can get involved.

We have the facilities now to welcome practical work groups of up to 30 and training facilities for up to 8 participants, come and see what involvement for your group or school will look like.

Our seed processing laboratory and the seed bank will be on show and well as the polytunnel, office and outside working areas. We will have information on seed saving, be showcasing our current projects, be taking names for volunteering out and about seed collecting and be there to answer as many questions as possible.

We’ll have some tea, coffee and nibbles and feel free to bring a contribution to share. Or bring your own picnic, plenty of tables and grassy areas to relax.

We really hope you can come along. Ribbon cutting at 12 noon by Margaret Ritchie, so be there and get in the photo, you know you want to 🙂
